SIGNIS Prize at the DIVERCINE Festival 2016

Montevideo, Aug, 1st, 2016 (SIGNIS). Fiddlesticks, by Veit Helmer (2015), received the SIGNIS Prize at the 25th Divercine Children And Youth International Film Festival.

This year, Fiddlesticks, by the German director Veit Helmer received the SIGNIS Prize because “it shows one of the biggest issue of our generation: rejecting people who are considered as unproductive by the society”.

A special commendation was also given to Kunumi, The Native Thunder, by Mauro D’Addio (Netherlands/Brasil) because “it highlights the contradictions lived daily by the hybrid Latin-American cultures.”
