Monday 20 June 2016, by SIGNIS

Monte Carlo, June, 20th, 2016 (SIGNIS). The Monte-Carlo Television Festival took place from June 12-16 in Monaco. The SIGNIS Jury has awarded a British television film, Cyberbully, by Ben Chanan and David Lobatto.

The Jury said that “the film is of a highly actuality. The topic is very current, as adolescents and even children are using internet daily, and often hurt others with their rude comments on social networks.
In this story, a teenage girl is not really aware that she is harassing her friends through the net. Once a hacker takes over all her accounts and starts accusing her of turning the life of her friends into hell, she begins to understand. Cyberbully points out the dangers of the internet but also the importance of good family relations.”

The SIGNIS jury was composed by Alan Foale (UK), Martina Mariachiara (Italy) Isabelle Verbrugge (Belgium), and Guido Convents (Belgium).
