New SIGNIS Media (4/2006): IPod vs Radio and Television

Brussels, December 20, 2006 (Signis) - The development of ‘new media’ on the Internet is a challenge for Catholic producers, says the new issue of our magazine SIGNIS Media.

(JPEG) The audiovisual world has changed radically over the past five years. From a culture of distinct media, in which TV had little to do with radio, and radio had only faint connections with cinema, while the Internet continued on its own trajectory, we have plunged into an era of products, which are integrating the various media: it’s impossible today to think of a TV broadcast without its corresponding web audio and video feeds, and perhaps even downloads to a mobile phone or an iPod.

Also in this issue: Montreal, Venice and San Sebastian festivals, Frank Frost’s Gospel Truth about television in the United States, and the Madrid TV Congress and Seminar.

Articles on line:
-  Sevilla: Focus on European Cinema
-  Facing Children
-  Toronto: Construir la paz desde nuestra mirada
-  Montreal: Travesías
