Ecumenical Awards in Mannheim-Heidelberg 2007
Mannheim, October 21, 2007 (SIGNIS/Interfilm) - The Ecumenical Jury at the 2007 International Film Festival in Mannheim-Heidelberg (Germany) awarded its Prize to the film Uden for Kaerligheden (Outside Love) by Daniel Espinosa (Denmark).
"Through a love story between a Jew and a Muslim, Daniel Espinosa reflects on the never ending conflict between two cultures. With sensitive images and expressive acting, the film shows how hostility can be overcome: through mutual recognition and empathy, trust, courage and love."

A Commendation of the Ecumenical Jury was given to Cover Boy...(L’ultima rivoluzione) (Cover Boy...(The Last Revolution)) by Carmine Amoroso from Italy.
"The travel of a young Romanian migrant to Italy is an authentic odyssey through difficulties, uncertain human rights and new capitalist values but it is also the discovery of a sincere friendship and a possibility to fight for his dignity. The film offers a truly artistic, sensitive and multi-layered reading of these realities."
