11th SIGNIS TV Producers Seminar to Take Place in La Rochelle
Brussels, April 19, 2012 (SIGNIS) - Registration is open for the 11th SIGNIS TV Producers Seminar that will take place in La Rochelle, France, from June 24 to 27, 2012. This Seminar will be held in the framework of the international TV market Sunny Side of the Doc.
The focus of the Seminar will be on marketing and fundraising. One of the sessions of the seminar will feature the keynote presentation of two specialist in "crowd funding". The producers will also experience the networking opportunities of a professional TV market from the inside as they participate to the 23rd edition of Sunny Side of the Doc (www.sunnysideofthedoc.com).
The La Rochelle event will be organized with the collaboration of SIGNIS-France and the Diocese of La Rochelle-Saintes.
The SIGNIS TV Seminars give the opportunity to Catholic television producers and leaders to showcase their television channels, newest productions or multimedia initiatives.
In 2003, in Cape Town, SIGNIS initiated the first of its seminars for Catholic TV producers. The aim was to build a network to share capacities, enable co-productions and build a professional community. Since then, seminars took place in Strasbourg (2004), Prague (2005), Lyon (2005), Madrid (2006), Bucharest (2007), Buenos Aires (2008), Chiang Mai (2009), Luxemburg (2010) and Costa Rica (2011).
