Texas, August, 23rd, 2017 (CPA). Please join the Catholic Press Association, new SIGNIS member, for its webinar on the Mobile Journalism Initiative, a program of the Brownsville, Texas, Diocese, that successfully mobilized young people to evangelize and report on the life of the Church.
Teens and young adults are provided with training in different areas of communication, including, most recently, the use of smart phones as reporting tools. The program has equipped young people to witness to their faith, sharing stores that have had an impact in their community.
The webinar host, Brenda Nettles Riojas, oversees the Mobile Journalism Initiative and is the Diocesan Relations Director for the Diocese of Brownsville. She also serves as the editor of The Valley Catholic newspaper.
Date: Thursday, August 24th
