SIGNIS prize at the Religion Today FilmFestival

Trento, Brussels, October 20th, 2015 (SIGNIS) - The SIGNIS Jury at the Religion Today Film Festival, Trento 2015, has awarded its Prize to the film The Healing by Ivan Jovic and a commendation to the film Vice Versa by Amichai Greenberg

The SIGNIS award was given to
ISCELJENJE - THE HEALING “because of the ability to explain the inner challenge of men in front of the perspective of a profound forgiveness, that stays more in the fulfilment of one faith than in theology. The director used the cinematographic language in a simple but effective way, placing the religious symbolism and the natural one side by side; besides the Serbo-Croatian conflict as the story’s background the film presents universal aspects.”

The Jury also gave a commendation to VICE VERSA
The film is well-structured and clear in its enunciation and in the relationship with the audience. The subject of the interior struggle, the spiritual accompaniment and the inner research are well-gathered in their concretization among the doubts of a dynamic loyalty and the sincere sentiment of love.

The Jury members were Pierre Sanou (Burkina Faso), Don Donato Lacedonio (Italy) and Cecilia D’Angelo (Italy)
