Prof Kandarpa Das talks on Community Radio

Prof Kandarpa Das, Founder-Director of Community Radio Radio Luit Guwahati told them that “Community Radio is a powerful medium to give voice to the voiceless.” In November ADBU Mass communication department students prepared and broadcast seven radio programmes with Radio Luit.

Radio Luit’s activists regularly visit the surrounding villages to meet people from various vocations. Views and opinions from the community members are gathered on regular intervals regarding quality of transmission and their suggestions for new innovative programmes.

Programmes are broadcast in such a way that listeners become eager to listen to their own voice.
