Bombay Archdiocese launches app for iOS users

Wednesday 10 February 2016, by SIGNIS

Bombay, Brussels, February 10th, 2016 (SIGNIS/Ucanews). In 2014, the Archdiocese of Bombay launched its official app for Android users. The aim was to help Catholics participate in the faith-related activities of the church. The app is now expanded to iOS users.

The new launch "fulfills a popular and growing demand," said Father Nigel Barrett, spokesman for the archdiocese.

The app’s features include daily scriptural reflections, prayers for daily living and a motivational thought for the day.

It also helps users find a church, besides providing information regarding the address, contact details and Mass times.

The app is an initiative "to involve every Catholic through participation in and a meaningful understanding of the faith. This information is accessible anytime and anywhere to everyone, even on the go," the statement said.
