Korean Catholic weekly to launch e-newspaper

Seoul, March, 31st, 2016 (Ucanews). Korea’s oldest Catholic weekly, The Catholic Times is launching a new website on April 1st, the day of its 89th anniversary.
The paper thinks it’s time to use effective tools for more evangelization, and decides to go online.

The Catholic e-Times will be available for PC and mobile phones. Readers will be able to access stories and content not available in the newspaper, as well as video clips and photo galleries.

In cooperation with Faith Press, the largest Chinese Church media outlet, and ucanews.com, stories on the Catholic Church in Korea will be available to the world through the new website’s Chinese and English services.

"The Universal Church already recognizes the proclamation of the Good News through digital media as a mission for new evangelization in the digital era. I hope The Catholic e-Times, launched by the call of the times, will be a useful tool for this new era and new evangelization," The Catholic Times publisher, Father Yi Ki-soo, said.
The mobile application will be available in mid-April.
