Pacific media partnership conference 2016

Port Moresby, May, 31st, 2016 (ABU). The ABU Pacific Media Partnership Conference 2016, on the theme “Collaborating for Broadcasting” will be held from August 24-27, at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

The PMPC-2016 conference will focus on how broadcasters could protect public free-to-air broadcasting. Some of the key requirements have been identified to lead the discussions and deliberations. Those requirements are to ensure the desired availability and technical quality of public service media services across various distribution platforms and on ubiquitous devices. Workshops and conference also aims to discuss both technical and non-technical (regulatory, market, business, etc.) strategies to protect Public Service Media-PSM delivery as a free-to-air broadcasting.

Hosted by Media Niugini Limited (MNL), the conference facilitates learning, gathering of information and sharing experiences through its sessions, workshops, visits to facilities and discussions.
