SIGNIS Annual Report 2015
Brussels, July, 18th, 2016 (SIGNIS). A year of encounter and change! 2015 was a really eventful year for SIGNIS. At the meeting of or Board of Directors, the next SIGNIS World Congress to be held in Québec City was the center of discussions. Ricardo Yáñez was designated Acting Secretary General, as former Secretary General Alvito De Souza left SIGNIS. The Board also approved the proposal that Archbishop Oscar Romero be the patron of SIGNIS.
The activity of SIGNIS takes place at regional and grass-roots levels, as shown by a number of different training efforts, our continuing presence in film and TV festivals, and our burgeoning activity in journalism.
his Report gives a snapshot of the range of ways in which SIGNIS members in every part of the world continued their ordinary ongoing work of sharing hope and building a culture of peace through communication.
