Brussels, November 20, 2019 (UNICEF) Today, children are raising their voices to demand action and take a stand for every child to have every right by using the hashtag #WorldChildrensDay on the various social media platforms of UNICEF.

 

World’s Children Day was first established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.

 

This year's World Children's Day also marks the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, an international agreement on childhood, adopted on November 20, 1989, by the United Nations.
